Interviewing at a dream company, and right from the first interview the recruiter told me we are way off on salary expectations. This was a little bit expected, as the role is requiring a few years less experience than I have and also in a much cheaper market. They already told me the salary range during this first call, but wondering if they like me enough and I get an offer, how I might approach negotiating for more. I want to expand into the world of SEO, but I know its a complex new world for those without experience. Can anyone give me some pointers on where to start and how you got started learning about the basics of SEO? I want to set myself up with a solid base of knowledge from which to grow.

Do you feel that in SEO there are too many ways of conducting the same tasks. I have had a string of managers within the past year, it’s starting to get very annoying as each person says method A is wrong and B is right, another manager would have the complete opposite view. Have you had similar experiences when this practice and adjustment begins to interfere with client deliverables.
