I was told that I was the chosen candidate for a new role that I applied for which will be promotion, I just recently received my offer and was surprised and decided to start negotiating. My boss immediately said that this is offer, either take it or lose it and no negotiating, and was only given a day to decide whether I want it or not, so he repost the position, and was also told that I was going about it the wrong way for trying to negotiate, Is this wrong of me to negotiate?
Just job search via LinkedIn, keep in mind that coming from an agency you have a lot of experience working on a variety of clients of various sizes and industries which can be more helpful finding an in-house role.
I just left agency to work in house and all I needed to do was apply via LinkedIn and most of the time recruiters would research out with opportunities too. It’s not too difficult given that agency experience is desirable for many roles.
+1 to other answers here. I made the move in 2020 from agency to in-house. One thing that did help me secure an interview was networking. I’m active in SEO communities on Facebook, etc. where the hiring manager had seen a lot of my content.
I’d suggest the same with LinkedIn.
