Obviously it is always better to have a job when looking for your next job. It’s sometimes the psychology of “hard to get” or not being desperate. But I feel in the economy it is the norm.
Being open about a layoff doesn’t have to be negative, it shows transparency and resilience. Focus on your achievements and what you’re looking for next. Honesty with confidence can actually strengthen your position.
