What do you mean by bank/big corp + crypto?
M1 - news involving some recognizable name and some cryptocurrency. People behave as though this is always a big deal even when it’s not clear why we should care.
All I’m saying is we should agree on a) what makes a coin valuable and b) why some news should make want to pay more for a coin.
^I see. I’d say that many of the partnerships are not serious and couldn’t be. That follows the concept that many cryptos are not seriously disrupting or centralizing anything. Agree that we should look deeper on how partners can add value, and that should be at a case by case basis. As cryptos are descentralized, valuation happens at the individual level, that is why we don’t have any clear patern and may never have one.
What do you mean by “valuation happens at the individual level.” Full disclosure, I’m not asking in good faith - this sounds totally nonsensical to me. I’m basically inviting you to say why one plus one equals forty in my view
These aren’t beanie babies, even if you view them that way. Either a coin has an objective, logical value proposition which explains why a coin will be more valuable tomorrow than it is today....or it’s a waste of my time.
^Valuation does not happen the way Barclays value assets today, hence the formula you are asking does not apply. Value is now proposed and prioritized by consensus and accepted or not by individuals (whales or school of fish).
