I can’t tell if my apathy toward work and failure to meet deadlines is due to burnout or my diagnosed ADHD or both. After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

How do you think your company is faring the new market conditions, and do you think the measures taken have been fair? So far at KPMG no layoffs, but no bonus or merit increases. Promotion increases are still happening, but hard to tell if promotions are going to be that common. Overall I believe the firm has done a good job of communication of measures taken both economically and logistically (not returning to office till at least 2021).
