Is Wall Street prep worth it to help break into IB?

Are most companies paying for you to learn new skills? When acquiring new skills are you mostly self taught? What are your best go to sites for learning animation or video skills? Trying to gauge the norm on expectations for new hires who need to know everything from print, web, video, social and animation. Can you do it all?

In terms of taking the next step to elevate your career- what items are you heavily focusing on? I have speciality in data governance as well as product counseling, but curious to know what others find most helpful in their practice areas.

It seems as though entry level/junior roles in the industry are slowly disappearing. How can young people who haven’t managed to get their foot in the door yet actually start? For not so recent grads.

I have worked in the demand gen/paid acquisition department for two years and am looking to get involved in brand strategizing (working with marketing agencies, being great at brand voice, creative direction, etc). For the past 25+ years, I've been a devops engineer, cloud architect and team lead on many projects. Is it wrong that I’m just not into PE/VC? It seems to be the most desirable exit for most people that I work with. The work seems like it’s not a good fit for me but it feels crazy to pass up trying to get that amount of money when there really isn’t a realistic alternative to that amount of wealth (and I do want that amount of wealth).
