Do you have your CPA? $75k is too low for 8 years, can you provide more detail about your experience?
I don't not currently have it. I'm not in a place in my life currently to take the time or have the funds for it, so not sure if there's something else I could do right now to help me stand out.
I started in AP, then Treasury, the Staff Accountant (2 different companies). I have also done AR, journal entries, worked with financials, and worked with budgets.
You mention worked your way up, but still staff accountant after 8 years- maybe that’s where the issue is when reading resume without being able to explain
I'm not necessarily looking to move up, just looking for a remote position - if staff Accountant is the highest I go, that's fine. Just any advice to get a remote position in this job market
Do you have an accounting degree? If so you could go into public acctg as a staff and make 75k or more.
I do - a BSBA in Accounting and an MBA. I've been in corporate Accounting my entire career, so I haven't had the need to get my CPA (not possible at this point financially, but maybe down the road).
I wouldn’t be surprised if you could transfer to a different PA firm and make more than 75k… I’m starting next October as a brand new staff at a top 10 firm in a small-mid size city and the offer is currently for 81,000.
I'm currently in corporate America and have been with companies with an Accounting department my entire career. Not sure if I'm able to move over to a firm without a CPA (not possible at the moment for me to get, maybe down the road). Just looking for at least $75k and any other advice for remote options
