Hey Fishbowl family - anyone working at EY-Parthenon that would be willing to chat with me about their experiences (with the potential of a referral)? I have total of 5 yoe specifically in Life Sciences and really would like to explore the potential of interviewing for their NY office. I have been able to land interviews/offers from other T2 firms but would really love to network and connect with EYP. EY EY-Parthenon

Depends on what you making currently and how long you been at KPMG. Once you have worked in big 4 for few years, you have got the big4 stamp and now it is time to make more money or move to a smaller firm/industry for better WLB and more money.
Depends how much selling you can do. Need to have a minimum of 1.5MM in direct attributiable net new revenue to start the conversation. Typically it’s 2-4 years to get put up for Director, then 3-5 to start partner discussions.

that’s definitely an attractive offer at the M level in a LCOL, perhaps above average for M pay at competing firms.
What is RSM
They do account tax advisory with $7B revenue / 13k staff globally.
Take the pay and worry about it later. MBB is where you want to go for consistency for exit ops. The rest is more volatile.

Take it. You definitely won't get 180k at KPMG anytime soon! Exits won't be quite as nice, but a near doubling of pay is worth it.
I'm not shocked by the 180k pay, I've heard of that for M at GT too. Big 4 is losing ground to mid market players pay-wise.
Are you LLM? I asked for 150k as M and they said that’s high in a HCOL
Rising Star
Yea, never heard of a manager making 200k at RSM.

Not just brand vs comp. The tools at RSM are not as strong as Big 4. Sometimes that learning curve can be a huge pain. What practice?

The administrative infrastructure is really lacking at firms like RSM / GT. Also, from a client work perspective, there are no proprietary softwares. There are some third party tools, but budget has to be right. Just make sure you are asking the right questions and are comfortable before signing on.
Doing what
total comp or base
Base
I'm not from either firm but K and RSM are both tier 3 to me. Not going to make a big difference in exit ops unless you are in accounting/audit at K
There are three steps on a podium. You can add tiers to make yourself feel better. But K is tier 3
