Got approved for the Chase Sapphire Preferred today, how to make the most of the card? Also is there an income threshold? Cause I’m switching to the NGO sector soon 😂

Make the most of CSP? Use it to charge for everything, rack-up points, and use the points to book travel. Income threshold? Once you have it, you have it, unless you cancel it.

*use it to charge everything related to travel and dining. Better to grab something like the Citi Doublecash for 2% cash back on non-category spend

1/3 Question on tax treatment of nonpriority unsecured claims converted into long-term note decreased total liabilities under Chapter 11. An accrual based C-Corp taxpayer completed a Chapter 11 reorganization and converted a total of $1M A/P to suppliers into a $410K LT note (a $590K liability reduction). Should we view this $590K as the Sec. 108(a)(1)(A) excludable income? After reading through IRS Pub 4681, I think it makes sense to view the $590 as "Reduced Price After Purchase", but not

Newbie trader here - I understand the theory of options but what is the best way to understand / pick an actual platform to use as the decision tool to perform the trades? Not sure if I’m asking the right question, but what I’m trying to say is when I get to an actual site to make a trade I get intimidated so just wondering what everybody uses / what is your actual process method?

Adverse selection is a huge issue in trading. You never have perfect information and your decision won’t be perfect for the outcome. This usually means you’re too small in winners and too large in losers.

As markets crash we’re seeing something similar. People are ignoring bad outcomes when they should be working that much harder to protect previous gains and find new ideas. Lower traffic in this thread is a symptom of this phenomenon. Don’t quit just as the value of incremental effort ramps.
