Bain & Company Got dinged after a final round AC interview with Bain & Company as an experienced hire with 1 YOE. Currently at $75k base salary and on average work 30-40 hours a week.
Considering $15-25k increase in salary, but double the number of work hours, is it worth reapplying to Bain next year or better to wait to apply until after business school?

There are going to be more differences within any MBB between offices and project teams than there are on average differences between the MBBs
Appreciate the insight!
Felt the same way in undergrad - everyone at my school went to Bain I was the only BCG person. But it worked out really well, loved being at BCG and obviously still here years later. Don’t worry too much about it just focus on getting an offer.
You right.
You’re honestly blessed to be smart and accomplished enough to have interviews with all MBB
Try to Get over Bain for now and crack the other 2. On the outset , There’s no major differences between the 3 for a new grad or even a mba grad unless you know exactly what type of clients you want to serve , how etc
Good luck!
Digging the positive attitude and appreciate the advice.
I was in a similar position . I didn’t get an interview from bain (top choice) but got from BCG and McK. Cleared Both and took signed BCG. To be honest- BCG people were so much fun and do not regret a bit about missing Bain.
Give your best and talk to more people. You might find the same culture and people. As BCG1 said, it differs from office to office.
If I have to give an advice! Don’t go into the interview with the mindset “I need to absolutely crack this, this is the biggest chance of my life.” This way it will take the pressure off and enjoy the process. Talk to the interviewer like you are trying to crack a problem together. Good luck
Have faith in the selection processes. If Bain dinged you but BCG/McK give you an offer then that's probably best for you. They're all pretty good at identifying the right people for their firm.
Hard to… everyone I talked to, including my first round interviews, told me I was a great “cultural” fit (or the like). But point taken.
