I interviewed a few times. The right one will come. 8 weeks isn’t really that long. I encourage you to enjoy the spare time you have because it won’t come again. I really regret being so anxious when I was in this transition.
The reality is that some ppl have been looking since Feb/Mar.
Find some comfort in other things because it could be a long process. I am employed but can’t get through the day. Need a new job!
No. I work at a big healthcare company with three initials.
It took me 20 weeks to land my new role :/ it’s a tough market out there!
It took me roughly 4 months to land a job. Had many interviews but only 1 offer which I took. Hang in there!
What’s your seniority/grade ?
~4 years experience

Hang in there, the timeline is likely being extended due to a slower hiring pipeline due to Covid. Many orgs have increased the amount of approvals required to hire a new person (rather than staffing internally).
Right now some people are taking months, like 6 months to find a job. Buy hiring managers will understand a gap in employment with all that is going on.
How are you disclosing that you go laid off? Do they ask? Might be in a similar position soon.

Yeah, D2, I don’t get this. How is it going to stay hidden that you’re not currently at the firm when instead of -present you have -(whatever prior month) for your latest position?...
This is the best time to pursue something you're truly passionate about and not get back into the rut for the money. You're the strongest when you're at your lowest. You have nothing to lose! MORE POWER TO YOU!
And are you geographically constrained?
Nope. I’m in SF
What's your area/role/specialty?
Any chance your experience is in financial services?
