I gave notice and expected to let clients know directly that I was leaving (as I’d done when I left my prior firm). Every single partner I asked told me not to reach out to the client to let them know and that they’d handle directly. I feel like I have strong relationships with some clients, so it feels weird disappearing without saying anything directly. Is this just an anti-poaching technique?
