1. I enjoy the people management more than individual contributor stuff. What career paths do you see in our industry for people who are managing support engineering teams?
2. What certifications are valued today? Seems like being a AWS Cloud Practitioner is a good general one, but are there others that stand out?

What is one piece of advice you would give someone considering engineering?

I have $100K liquid cash over and above maxing out 401K, HSA, College fund, investments in Index funds and emergency fund. I plan to leave $25K for contingency. Of the $75K is it wise if I purchase I bonds worth $30K (myself, spouse, kid)? Current combined rate is 9.62 Does anyone foresee the interest rate drastically reducing? I don’t intend to cash them out before 5 years.

Considering donating to company PAC (1st timer) … wondering if anyone knows how this impacts the employee and/or experienced any [unsaid] benefits as a result?

I have 2 outstanding offers from EY and KPMG in the Finance Transformation group. Does anyone have any insight on the WLB right now, with the labor shortage and pipeline being crazy?

Also,does anyone have any insight to how difficult the transition will be from being a manager at a middle market firm into a manager at the B4? If someone else has done the transition how long did it take to get your feet under you?

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.
