I have been given a verbal offer of 145k base for a Sr. Associate role as Data Analytics Lead. The offer doesn’t come with any kind of bonuses or stocks.
I have a Masters and 5+ years of exp and my current comp is 115.5k + approx 5k bonus + ~20k in stocks (yearly refreshes) which makes my total current comp to 140k.
Is it worth taking the offer for increase in just the base?
What are my chances of negotiating into a VP level role with at-least 155k?

I think eventually they are driving down our economy by pushing talents out while keeping the illegals in......sad
Skilled worker gets high wages, irrespective of nationality. So RSM1 roll up your sleeves if you want better wages.
We are going to run into substantial talent issues especially in our technology groups. It’s exceptionally difficult to find qualified candidates. The folks on H1B are paid like all EY employees, buy homes, and pay taxes. I really don’t understand the point of these new restrictions. If we can’t find talent in the US more work will simply be outsourced to the GDS
MyVisaJobs.com has all the data. Deloitte consulting LLP is one of the biggest H1B sponsors (top 7). I guess most of their applications were filed for Indian IT technicians.
Still what’s the impact? EY LAW sucks anyway
Let's get those wages up for Americans.
If you are really scared of being chased out of a job by a visa program. Maybe you need to rethink what you bring to the table.
Hope RSM keeps you...we would be fine...totally
One of my best seniors had to leave the country because of this bullshit. She’s been in the US since 2009. It’s a big problem
We usually get a blast from the immigration lawyers - I may have missed it, but haven’t seen one. Do you mind elaborating on the impact it has had?
Deloitte consulting (7645 applications) is more affected than EY(4,625 applications).
How did you get that number?
EY has more than10000 H1B employee
DC is just one branch under Deloitte
what's the impact, what memo.
former guy busting 3 years while doing masters in ey and still didn't get visa asking
It is not gonna happen rsm because they need money to hire more expensive replacement
Supply and demand. I'm doing fine but it's always better without foreign scab labor undercutting.
