Big reorg just happened (not related to the layoffs) and we are now into annual comp planning. I’d guess that recruiting will be pretty quiet for the next few weeks, at least.
I figured as much. The recruiter even said they’d need to get headcount approval for the new FY. They said a couple weeks before they knew something, but that’s rarely the case.
I'm sorry that happened to you. Typically, if a recruiter goes silent that is pretty much your answer. They might contact you back again if there is a new opening or something like that.
Unfortunately, silence from recruiters can indicate that the role may have been put on hold or filled internally. It's not the news anyone wants to hear but it's better to know than to be left wondering.
