Hi Folks,
Recently I had given couple of interviews for a company and after 10 days, HR had called me and told that my feedbck is positive. They just wanted me to join early but my notice period is 2 months and they were ready to buy me out,. I told them that there is possibility but it depends on my company’s current resources. So we discussed salary and HR asked me to sent my current salary details. I have gt an update from HR that it will take some to get the approval. How long it might take?Amazon IBM Tata Consultancy

Will ad agencies ever become obsolete?
Sorry that you’re stuck waiting. Unfortunately many agencies are facing a lot of uncertainty right now, they have no idea how this is going to effect their business long-term. Many are slowing down their hiring process as a result. My best advice is just to keep following up regularly with the recruiter or manager. When you’re following up though, show some empathy and acknowledge that you know it’s a crazy time with a lot of uncertainty, and that any updates are much appreciated. Good luck!
Are you all serious? Now is not the time to follow up. I’d wait a few weeks as a global pandemic is sweeping out country and everything is literally shutting down to avoid overwhelming our hospitals. Sorry to tell you, but no one gives a shit right now
Okie. No need to be a jerk. He asked a simple earnest question
Yes
They’re busy. If they haven’t sent it, it’s not because they forgot
I would wait a week between follow up emails
Yes, I’d wait a bit longer before reaching out again. Take into consideration the corona virus chaos and WFH policy being implemented at most of the agencies.
HRs are busy with other priorities.
Just wait. If you have other work - take it. Things are crazy right now and there are a lot of business delays.
I dont have other work, but since everyone ekse is working remote... Im available 😏
No. Free. Work.
Test brief... Is this now a standard thing? I've had companies I'm interviewing for a full time job lately, shamelessly ask me for free ideas on their clients. Usually they are disguised as a brief for a non-client entering the space of a client.
As a freelancer I usually send them a rate quote at that point, and an estimate for the work.
No free work. You should be paid for your time, regardless if it’s a test. I always stand by this.
Call them! No double email trail and you can say you're priotisting your work load, so an estimate on when you'll get it is helpful, which is usually a tick box.
Unless you have their cell phone number, good luck. Lots of people not in the office. Also, an entitled attitude like that is not going to help you right now. It sucks to have to wait, we all know that, but such is life right now, because no one know what next week will look like, let alone what the rest of the quarter and year will look like. Keep in touch, but be sympathetic to what’s going on and the fact that they may not have any information for you yet. That attitude will get you a lot further than CW1’s.
Yeah the real issue is the test brief. F’ that. NO FREE WORK.
