Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

Anyone who looks at this and actually believes it to be true needs some help
We’re looking at about half the country unfortunately…
Out of the 831 weirdest gen z they could find
Lol you're sourcing Fox News. Always very high standards there.
Curious on geography, industry and function of the 831 respondents (also, that's embarrassingly low for such a broad sweeping statement like Fox is trying to make)
Another example of Fox News slanting numbers to fit a story. I literally don’t think I’ve ever talked to anyone’s parents (regardless of generation) even at a social function, let alone at work or about work.
Doesn’t surprise me a bit, even this wouldn’t surprise me with the fellow millennials
Doesn’t seem accurate.

Yikes!
- fellow Millennial
If you’re a millennial who works at PWC you and probably all of your colleagues have worked with gen z for years. Have you ever actually seen or heard this happen?
"Brought a parent to the interview with them" is probably inclusive of those who were driven to the interview by their parents
Fing Fox disseminating 💩 again, and calling it factual news.
Omg what?!! This is wild!!! Fellow millennial lol
This is likely not the case for Gen Z, but will 100% be true for Gen Alpha once they hit the workforce. Half of 12 year olds can’t charge their IPads themselves or brush their own teeth.
What nonsense drama is this. 5 year olds do this.
So I would think this is fake, except for the fact that around the holidays I had lunch with a friend and she asked me if I had this issue because she has with THREE employees. Three different employees parents had emailed her asking for various things (raises, etc). I was stunned and asked who she was hiring haha.
Fox News lmao
That’s AI
I can tell you that in Fall of 2024, I was doing an on camera Zoom interview and almost every question that was asked, the person ( approximately 22-24) I was interviewing was looking to their right off camera then would respond to questions. I finally asked if there was someone in the room with them and they respond yes, their father.
This year my SM and I interviewed a person I would guess to be around early 30’s. Very polished answered questions correctly so we both agreed would be a good choice. Hired the person and two weeks later when they started they could not answer basic questions about the system. We did a team zoom call and the person that was on camera was NOT the person that we had interviewed and hired! Not a parent I don’t believe.
Two examples of both Gen Z and young Millennial.
Your first mistake is believing Fox News is a credible resource.
