Has anyone been able to navigate the open office dilemma of giving feedback that people are disruptive, without being looked at as an asshole or stick in the mud?

Same. Bose is the way to go...But the 5 person meeting that’s regularly happening over my head is impossible to ignore any more. One of these guys literally leaned on the back of my chair during their meeting like I wasn’t even there.

Share with HR - it's their job to handle it since it was them and operations who got that office space.

I just left a very toxic work place.
The crazy thing is they were just named the best local municipality to work for. It's upsetting. They advertise a "culture" but don'tapply it. It felt like a used car sales pitch, I was sold a dream but given junk. I am constantly replaying moments. I have read so many books and everything leads to they were the problem. How do I recover from this?

My manager sat me down yesterday to go over a report I made, which wasn’t great. He have me good feedback. But then he said it’s his fault for not being clear/giving me direction and told me it’s up to him to figure out how to get me up to speed.

Now…he left work a little earlier and just seemed done with the day. I’m afraid he is disappointed with me for not figuring out myself on how to get up to speed. Am I failing as his report? I feel so out of place.

Your suggestion will be much appreciated.
