So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Huh? How would your firm know?
In this case yes, you could be fired for using company resources. Argument is similar to doing non-work work on your company laptop, especially during company time.
Not sure I understand the logic of a firm to fire someone for looking to leave
D1 you are free to do whatever you want during your free time as long as it doesn’t break any company policy, eg moonlighting, storming the capitol, etc.

Back when I was in industry at a small company (100-200 emoyees), COO got fired for using company resources to get his start-up going. But I mean, it was pretty blatant. He was getting employees loyal to him to scout office space in the area. He got caught because one of these loyal employees accidentally sent an email with the email signature from the new startup. 🤦♂️
