Relocation is not a bonus. Every agency offer relocation
As a junior who needed to relocate for the job, I was offered 1.5k but negotiated 3k which I would have to pay back (prorated) if I left before a year.
Yes and no
Yes to several signing bonuses. One required 6 months, another a year, the last had no time requirement.
Got offered a signing bonus that’d have to be paid back if I left before a year instead of them meeting the salary I asked for.
Pretty standard. Usually it is prorated based on number of months worked as a percentage of bonus contingency length.
I’ve had them done ad retention bonuses. You get $xx when you sign, $yy after a year, $ zzz after 3
Yes, and no. I requested one because the salary was slightly lower than expected.
I’ve had a couple agencies pay ~10k for a move. One had a contingency of staying 2 years but didn’t enforce it. As far as I know contingencies are rarely enforced unless something really dramatic happens or if you stay under a year
Yes. Usually 1 year.
pretty standard for relo bonuses you have to stay for a year.
One year
Relocation contingent on staying for certain amount of time. Used it to buy a microwave/stove hood combo because mine broke right when I was leaving.
Yes and yes, and was enforced. 6 mos.
Yeah a year. If u leave sooner u pay back. But never enforced
