Completely bombed? No. Struggled a bit + hit a home run on the other interview? Maybe

I struggled quite a bit in R1 and still got the offer (only one live case, the other was computer based). It was truly one of the most challenging cases I had ever seen - NGO client, investment management objective, data presented as unstructured bullet points. I think I was successful by consistently finding the insights, tying them back to the case question, and revising/leading with my next hypothesis. That and hoping everyone else struggled just as much!

To preempt a bunch of questions: generalist Consultant role, NAMR, no I can’t provide more details about the case without potentially violating the confidentiality agreement

What do u mean next round? I’ve got an offer from BCG recently and I only did two rounds?

Sorry I meant 1st round

EY I interviewed at your firm a year ago, and was rejected without much specific feedback. It felt like the Partner was actually trying to elicit information about my previous firm. I really like EY

So my interviewer was yawning and kept mentioning the time during my interview. Not feeling good about this.

Is this the process to get to a first round interview? Submit app on website->computer screens resume->recruiter screens resumes passed on by computer->recruiter phone screens candidates that they like->recruiter passes on candidates they like to hiring manager->hiring manager screens resumes->hiring manager conducts 1st round interviews with candidates that they like Referral skips you directly to recruiter screening step and gives you a higher chance to advance. I recently left a pretty good summer internship to take a full time job and I regret it. I have been losing sleep over it all summer. And after remote work ends, the job would be in a high cost of living city as well. Due to this, I am looking at switching jobs again. I feel terrible about starting my career as a job hopper. Despite getting interviews at good companies, nothing is making me feel better about this situation. I don’t know how to handle the thoughts racing in my mind.

Big tech or consulting? Which do you prefer as a career and why? I realize this is really general. I’m interviewing with Accenture and Amazon and the opportunities and career trajectory or so wildly different. This would be my entrance into consulting and concerned that if I wait too long, consulting would be a pay cut without prior consulting experience. It’s already looking like a financially lateral move but high potential. Vs tech is a big jump financially but different career direction.

I am writing this here because I hope that maybe a woman can understand where I am coming from and what I should do. I joined Accenture January 2020 as a level 11, long story short, I talked to my CC about mid year promotion since January as well as my director. I learned on Friday I’m not up for promotion. My CC tells me because he didn’t see any client input feedback in the PA tool so he didn’t enter anything for promotion. My director tells me he thought I started with Accenture January 2021
