Age bias--I was 45 at the time of the interview.
The interviewer came right out and said that the technology they used was very new and they thought that hires right out of college were preferable.
I calmly asked the interviewer what programs they were talking about and the interviewer talked about an HRIS that was new to the market.
I had been involved in helping to implement that HRIS system at my current employer at the time and had written scripts and done the user end training. I told the interviewer this and he just got pale.
I then made a comment about how maybe implying older applicants weren't wanted there was not the best strategy to use when he was interviewing someone who would potentially be the HR manager.

I completely agree that was an age bias. I have seen this a lot with hiring manager who doesn't know how to effectively and fairly interview
Me too
29 years ago I walked into a interview very pregnant. The person interviewed me and then said although you have the qualifications obviously this is not going to work. I explained that I would be able to
Work for 6 more weeks which would allow me time to set up my for my new role and I only planned on taking 14 weeks total. He said he could not wait so he did not hire me. I just giggled when I left because at that time that was the norm, I expected nothing different
I have and I kept as professional as I can, but inside I wanted to curse them out. Its there lost.
