Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!

McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.

Just enjoy the slow times, they don’t last!
Yes. If you bill 40/45 hrs a week then relax, enjoy and await the soul crashing project that inevitably comes after that. If you can’t bill the full week than keep raising your objections.

For every slow project there are two future projects that will completely destroy your wlb
Enjoy it for now, do good work and try to stay in touch with the leadership there, since they likely did an excellent job scoping the project. Like others said, you’ll have your soul crushed come soon enough. And it’ll be good to stay in touch with the people you know will support better WLB when you need your soul to be un-crushed.
So relatable, but unlike other firms with short cases we are stuck on them for at least a year most of the time 🥴
Yes! This is me right now. Really worried about it.
