Has anyone had to have a conversation with an older parent about why you’re reluctant to let then take your kiddos on their own for a few days? My dad is approaching 80 and is definitely slower, less strong, and with hearing deficits compared to when my brother had young kids (15+ years ago). He used to take my nephews for days to give my brother a break and he offers to do the same for me (two kids under 5) but I just don’t think he’s up to it and don’t know how to convey this delicately.
