I’m considering a less sales-oriented role that doesn’t pay commission. The new role will have a higher base but lower overall earning potential.

What % haircut should be expected? As an example, if I make 100k (base + commission) today, would it be realistic to ask for 90k (10% cut) + equity to make up the difference?

Hi! I got an offer with Standard Chartered India. What does Grade 7 Band 7 mean? and I got a role as Specialist, Product engineer. Is this equivalent to senior software engineer ? Or relevant to manager? What is senior engineer is know in SCB?

Just recently given an offer within my own department, new role created just for me , base salary is def an improvement from my old salary. I decided to negotiate other stuff. But now I feel bad. Why is it as a women, and never being given the chance to negotiate before, I feel bad now asking for what I think I’m worth. I’ve been loyal to my company for over 15 years and gotten the shaft, and now that this has come up and seems like a good offer, I feel like I owe it to my self to negotiate.

Reading through some possible interview questions for FAANG. One of the ones I've seen on Glassdoor are to design a basic architecture structure for something like Netflix or Twitter or Spotify. I've been researching online using AWS or GCP (still learning all the moving parts of architecture). Any advice on how the setup would be? I'm assuming you'd start with some Load Balancers. For Netflix maybe have different different APIs for signing up vs scrolling through possible movies?

Hi Team, I got interviewed in LTI and I got confirmation mail from HR that I am selected for discussed role and they want my documents to go ahead for offer letter. 2 weeks they didn't respond me and stopped taking my calls and now HR said position is on hold after and under review, I am serving my notice period in current company since I resigned after offer and didn't give any interview in between because offer and HR was really promising.

I have a small group of coffee shops (5 currently) and a regional bagged coffee company selling to grocery stores. I am one of four partners, but the only one active and taking a salary. We’re looking to hire a COO / Director of Ops for brick and mortar expansion and have agreed that ~140k is where we would need to land to find someone to take us from 5 to say 20 units. I’m getting paid significantly less as President. Should I try to negotiate for more pay or just be patient for future ops?

I’ve been interviewing with Google since July. Passed the first interview but the team I was matched with ended up hiring someone else. Recruiter told me that she will let me know if any other opportunities arise as I’m still in the running and haven’t been rejected. I'm currently working in Architecture working on transitioning into UX Design. I took a UX class through UCLA Extension for a quarter and so far (from a fairly objective view) I'm ahead of the game than the rest of my peers since I already have a lot of transferrable skills like software & design skills. I'm planning to take one more quarter of class. Will that be enough to put together a portfolio along with architecture pieces?
