My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. I’m seriously enatkng to get into an SE role and have been searching for Associate Sales Engineers that do NOT require SE experience since I’ve none. It’s proving to be difficult. Most companies for some reason are requiring 2-3 years of experience for the Associate role. 😭 Any Sales Engineers who know of companies hiring those with no experience? I am in tech as a BDR already.

Started at a big firm in July with high hopes- in the career path I wanted and I would be joining with other new grads.
After onboarding, it’s as if my team forgets about us every day. The training is non existent, there doesn’t seem to be any initiative to invest in new hires, my manager scolds me for not knowing enough yet gives no direction. I don’t want to waste time (colleagues mentioned it doesn’t get much better from here). Do I embrace the suck or look for other opportunities?

Resigned from my job for blatant racism last week. Been a contingent worker for 6 months. The manager that recruited me unfortunately left after a couple weeks and went to another company. She however recommended me for the permanent opportunity to higher management. The acting manager came in, permanent role was posted, I applied, interviewed……manager told me they chose someone else external for the role.
