Has anyone made the jump from another industry into copywriting? I've been in entertainment for the last 5 years and am considering jumping into copywriting as it seems to still be creative but more corporate. Any tips or words of advice?

Currently interviewing for a role at Amazon that is listed as a CW position, but I have direct experience in the product and capabilities this role is seeking, and the hiring manager is moving me forward. What is the likelihood that if I tried to negotiate from a CW to FTE, I would get the position?
