Has anyone moved from account management in an ad agency to a customer success manager type role? I see these jobs popping up at a lot of software companies and I’m thinking of applying. I’d be interested to hear from others—any tips for applying and what your experience was like after changing into one of these roles. Thanks.

I haven't done that but it strikes me as plausible pivot. If you contemplate your transferable skills, it seems like they'd set you up for customer success roles. Perhaps rewrite your resume to focus along those lines and start applying. The reactions you get will help you hone your approach as you go.

Happy to connect on linked in and talk further- i changed career direction from account management and client facing in advertising into digital marketing and operations which also falls within this area of customer success management and/ or enterprise / customer success departments. Is your desire to work in this field of life sciences or pharma advertising or another industry? Do your research and see what industry you want to focus on and then tailor ur resume for the industry. Also consider what side of the business do you want to be in? Client side or agency / services side?

Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.

TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)

TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)

Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD. I don’t think HR or government is for me anymore and looking to find something new, now 24 feel I have a lot of transferable skills and knowledge but worried about private companies in other professions taking me seriously. Grateful for any advice - thanks in advance!

I have an urgent situation that I need advice for: what job to take? I currently have 2 job offers. Offer A (Scientist 3): 70k with full benefits including 15 PTO days and 5k tuition assistance yearly. It was sent to me last Wednesday and yesterday they left me a voicemail asking for a decision at my earliest convenience. Offer B (Manager): 76k with full benefits minus tuition assistance and only 5 PTO days first year (15 days after). Both companies said they'd groom me to take management roles.

Hi all, looking for advice.

I'm a technical writer with background in the hardware and healthcare industry. What would be a better option for me, pivoting into software tech writing or project management.

Which one pays better/is better (any advice appreciated, must be fully remote role)

If software tech writing, does anyone have advice on how to break into a role or learn what it takes to become one?

For PM, I got a cert (not PMP) and am trying to decide which of these two I go with.

I have been in Recruiting and HR for 11 years and thinking about making a career move. Ild love to hear from anyone that’s made a career move from HR to a different role.

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?
