Hi! I just accepted a Relationship Banker II role in Allen, TX. My offer letter was 50k base and 1k guaranteed commission a month first year. I just graduated w a degree in Business Administration. Basically the info I got on how commission works was pretty vague. Anyway I wanted to see what someone I’m their 1st or 2nd year can realistically expect to on average make in commission a year in this role. Also what do bonuses in the role look like? I’m hoping to just hear some ballpark numbers! JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Chase

Sounds like it’s too late to negotiate. Did you not bring this up before you left your old company?

I negotiated with my former employer to pay back the sign on bonus over an extended period of time.
Now that's with collection, I'm not sure. Your credit will very possibly take a hit. Let this be a learning moment to never let bills go to collection.
They would have had to give you notice to send you to collections if it hit your credit. I was able to negotiate by calling, telling them this is the first notice I am getting of paying, and will pay in full if they remove the points against my credit. Wasn’t able to talk down the total owed (it wasn’t very much anyways). My sister was able to negotiate with a collections company that had her student loans because they were desperate but she also had minimal income. Worth a chat, but it ultimately will come down to the company and rep you talk with.
I would find a good CPA or a credible credit repair person on possible routes to handle this well. If it’s in collections, it’s going to affect your credit. For a 30K bill, I’m going to assume you’re going to get hounded for sure.
Collections asked me to respond by end of next month. I don’t think it hits credit history if I pay the collections. My question was can you negotiate with the collections company?
The collections first make an attempt to collect the debt before it goes to credit history. They have given me till end of October to respond first
