Has anyone taken a good use of unlimited PTO if your company offers one? What’s the max you’ve taken?

right around there as well. 36 days. but i am busy other wise and make sure to hit my hourly goals and even exceed them before taking time off. my team is fine with it every time

funny

I took 47 days and more “sick” time on top of that. Probably changes based on employer but if you hit your hours even with all the time off there really isn’t much they can say. My salary is $x amount for x amount of hours. If I hit that number in 200 working days instead of 220 working days, sue me.

My companies “unlimited” but says we’re expected to take 3-5 weeks lol

All depends on the company culture around that unlimited PTO policy. Some may encourage you take take off a certain amount of time each quarter or year, or they look down on you if you try to take more than 1-2 weeks per year.

My company doesn't offer unlimited PTO, but I try to take at least 2-3 weeks off per year, and role over the rest.

Salam, Ramadan Mubarak! Anyone trying to maintain some level of strength training during Ramadan? I know it’s ideal to lift after iftar (maybe after dates/water + magrib and before dinner) but wonder if it is doable to squeeze in a 30-40 min training session right before iftar (for time saving purposes)?

Has anyone dealt with a lack of praise from attorneys? I'm not someone who needs to hear "good job" all the time, but we just got a huge deal closed that I worked really hard on and had a lot of overtime. And once it closed, the lead attorney praised the other attorneys, and said nothing about me or my work. I might just be overly sensitive, but it kind of stung. Thoughts?

Well I recently told a guy I have been seeing I have HSV-2. We have not yet been physical but it’s been heading that direction. Man I hate this part - waiting to see what his response will be after he researches and talks to his doctor. I’m on daily meds which help reduce transmission risk. You’d think that since HSV-2 affects 20% of Americans and likely a higher % of gay men, there would be less taboo but it’s hardly ever talked about. Anyone else in my shoes? Or had it disclosed to them?
