Having massive issues getting anything done at work the past couple of weeks. I start so many tasks and end with a bunch of half written emails that I got distracted while writing and never came back to (as an example) by the end of the day. I’m on the high side of the BMI scale and really want to prioritize healthy movement. One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Does EY or other consulting firms actively monitor where the employee is working from (and I mean different country here) if they’re not currently expected to come into the office?
