Who is “they”? I would try to get clarification from a source within HR if you haven’t talked to them. You didn’t mention how far along your pregnancy is now, but keep in mind the typical hiring process takes 3-4 months from application to start date, so if you did try to get a new job now you’d be WAY more pregnant when starting. Unless you have other reasons to believe your role will be eliminated before you go on parental leave, I’d try to hang tight until then and maybe start looking depending how the climate feels when you come back.
Thanks! Yeah I think I’m just fearing the worst like hey I’m 7 months pregnant and get laid off because of a policy change and then shit. Lol
