Not a good sign. Some people stay in the senior role forever. I would ask for the 3-5 year trajectory.
Depends if you want to roll that dice. You may not think title means anything but guarantee if you try to look for another position or jump back to PA, and you’re a senior, your gunna be getting a senior position. Maybe at best a new manager position. As well you run the risk of being too expensive for those positions anyway so up to you. You could jump and it becomes the best thing every too.
Basically they said there is no guarantee that in 12-24 months I could be manager, but the company is growing a ton so a lot of opportunity could arise that way. Just a lot of uncertainty, but the company is growing like 20% per year so I tend to agree with the potential for opportunity
I’ve seen someone leave as a senior, be a senior in industry and come back as a manager at my previous firm. It’s possible. But I agree you’re taking a chance.
