ZS folks on this app are far less salty - that should be a good indication
Brand recognition: what is ZS Associates? 😴
Can't really beat zs for Healthcare, or Accenture for ZBB
Have enjoyed almost every minute at ZS.
If you’re short term focused, Accenture probably has more recognition outside life sciences, but I wouldn’t make your decision based on that - you’re not talking MBB vs a small boutique.
We have thousands of people, have delivered consistent growth and we are not a public company - you won’t hit any stupid quarterly street targets.
May have misunderstood some prior comments on fishbowl, but sounded like Accenture had a dedicated sales team rather than selling work through the people doing the work. That scares me quite a bit if true.
I was in your position post MBA. Went with Accenture Strategy due to culture and do not regret my decision. Would have joined ZS Chicago if I lived there - liked that group.
That said, I get the sense that ZS pays more over time, better bonus etc.
+obviously ZS has a leg up on sales and marketing within certain indiatries
What office? Are you interested in healthcare /pharma? If so, ZS is a good place to be- collaborative environment with smart people
ZS for Pharma
No idea about Accenture...so can’t comment.
ZS for pharma, for sure
I interviewed at both and didn’t like the folks I met at Accenture but really clicked with the ZS team - and now have been here over 5 years and am pretty happy. Don’t imagine I would have stayed at ACN that long, as my friends who went there all moved on quickly. That said, I believe that in consulting (more than most jobs) experience is super variable based on team, office, projects etc and luck plays a non-trivial role. Go with your gut! And if you don’t like it after a year or three, you can always make a change. Good luck :)
Who's Accenture?
Thanks everyone, appreciate the perspective
Talk to people who have left ZS and ask them about their work/life balance. I think you'll be interested to hear their perspective.
ZS but I’m biased
ZS has strong culture but the Accenture strategy might be more interesting depending on what space you are in at ZS
As long as you are not a PhD and you like pharma Zs is fine 😆
