Have you done any training that you thought was worthwhile (apart from a standard type degree/cert in HR)? Have an opportunity to have my studies funded by work and would love to make the most of it.

The things I enjoyed the most was getting into the customer’s head and figuring out what they value, which I think I’m pretty good at. I recently got asked in an interview “how do you keep on top of employment law, your award and fair work regulations?” Truth is I’m subscribed to mailing lists but that’s about it… I sometimes feel dumb because I forget what’s in the fair work act, I need to check it every time someone is going on parental leave… then I forget the min requirements again.
Does anyone else have the same problem? How do you keep on top of / remember important NES & regulations?
