It depends where you are in your career. Earlier on in my career I didn’t know anyone at the firm and really needed to meet leaders who would help in my long term career from a mentorship and also from a sponsorship perspective. So I aggressively networked and met the group of people who have gotten me every promotion in my career. Once I met those people the pandemic hit and I stopped going to the office and also because I got busier in my career so for a while I paused aggressive networking in person. Now I am heading towards a leadership promo and have been given recommendations to go back into the office to network.
Appreciate the advice!
