Have you observed that an increasing number of hiring managers now require at least two calls before proceeding further in the hiring process? It seems that this extra layer of communication is becoming more common, How have these additional steps impacted your hiring experiences or your approach to job searching?

Ran out of time to write the MD email at the end of PEPI interview, but explained what I would write. Do you think it might be a ding because of that? I know I will find out soon, but anxiety is over the roof and hence this message.

How do referrals work?
If I get a referral from someone and I apply, then can I still reach out to a recruiter on LinkedIn expressing interest in the role? And do I let them know that I already applied? Hi guys. So I’m currently an AM in Audit (Private Equity) with KPMG. Got an audit Mgr role with BDO and also interviewing with a top PE firm for a Valuations Associate role. I strongly think I’ll get an offer but I need to accept/reject my BDO offer asap as I’ve stalled for too long just to buy time for the PE recruitment process to be finalised.

I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up.
