Having trouble getting a data science job without a portfolio. How did you find your first foot in the door? Did you hire mentors or tutors to help you build a decent portfolio?

I'm thinking about starting something, but I want to be well versed in entrepreneurship before I do. Any recommended resources (websites, podcasts, books, etc.)? Thanks!

Thermo Fisher for Data Engineer in AWS and Python and Ameriprise as Lead Developer for Informatica Powercenter. Ameriprise is offering 50k more in my monthly salary than Thermo Fisher. My preference is to join in where I can grow and get a good learning for future career growth. Also, work life balance should be good in the organization.

Hello, I am in USI GES tax at DUSI. I love my job but not my team and mgmt anymore. I'm a performer and I'm dumped with work of 2 ppl while others are searching for work. I am burned out.

I resigned and accepted a job with EY GDS with a huge pay bump that DUSI can't match but I also gave up my potential promotion for 2023.

I've been feeling bad about putting my papers down and letting go off my promotion but I am really tired. I took up this job as an escape.

I have close to 15 years functional experience in DEI strategy, business strategy, teaching, and coaching. I have my own consulting company that focuses on DEI. I work at KPMG and was told that I will not be promoted (from senior associate 2 to 3), but received pay rise as someone who was promoted. I am so proud person that immediately after knowing that I will not be promoted, I wrote resignation. What is your action plan in this case? Will you resign?
