I’m currently working in Citi as an AVP in Mumbai for the past 9 months.. due to personal reasons I wanted to move back to Pune (I have worked in Pune for last 8 years before coming to Citi) so I landed up with an offer from HSBC into Wholesale IT (GCB5).
My current Fixed CTC in Citi is 26.5 excluding PF and Retrials and HSBC IT has offered me 30.5 for the same and said they cannot increase further as am moving jobs in after 9 months which is too early..
Questions -
Have I been low balled?
In-hand for below offer?

What would be my in hand after tax deductions?

Hi All,
How much can I expect in hand per month

I am sorry :/
It’s a tough reality for most that non-revenue generating roles are typically not appreciated by the broader firm / management
I'm in the same boat as you op. Currently non client facing. Got a 4% raise 2 years ago and nothing since. I'm transferring to advisory in a few weeks and hoping to get a fat client facing raise this year.
Yep. Only partners are appreciated here… and most of them are direct entry from elsewhere lol
You are considered overhead. No business wants to increase that.
I am not sure why some posts say the back office are non revenue generating. Support staff are, but I worked for PWC back office preparing tax returns & our hours were charged to the client. PwC in Tampa grossly underpay tax preparers.

Why would you get anything more than inflation? That’s the standard for overhead roles (including industry accountants.)
@P1 much more replaceable than good staff
I hope you get something this round. If not, might be time to look around. Not client facing and we got a whole 1% a few months back, but something every other year. Waiting on this years % and if promotion went through.
