Hello, After more than 28 years of being out on the road daily as a RSM I am now looking at changing jobs. Instead of being very much sales led, I would now love to do a job that keeps me out in the field/road daily but with zero sales involved. Distance isn't a problem either as I love driving for hours.

I'm needing a little help on what else I can do. Apart from a lorry driver I am open for anything. TIA.

Transitioning from com. lit into tax controversy?

I have a tax LLM and started my career out of law school doing M&A tax at a big4. After 9 months, I got out of big4 transactional hell and into whatever litigation I could find. I now practice commercial lit but would welcome the opportunity to eventually transition into tax controversy (which I wasn’t able to do before). Does my commercial litigation “break” hurt my prospect? How long can I stay in com lit without hurting my chances even more?

Anyone here start out in PA and leave to go to law school and come back? I’ve been contemplating leaving and going to law school for years. I have 3 years of advisory experience primarily in financial services/ tech implementation/ and restructuring. Bs Accounting with a 3.2 gpa MBA with a 3.89gpa. I’m a product designer with about 5+ YOE I’m exploring courses/programs that one could take up as a mid career professional. I have a keen interest in Service Design, Behavioural Sciences, Design Research but not very sure about the opportunities. 8+ yoe,Project mgmt Domain - I have been working on different roles in PM domain ( Pm, PMO, Business mgmt etc) and recently switched to Scrum master. How do MBAs feel about doing one year consulting then a year in industry strategy analyst role vs 2 years consulting?

I am looking to enter big law. I had a clerkship on a state Business Calendar and am a current first year litigation associate where I have prepared for a trial, taken and defended depositions, and have extensive motion writing practice in tech, business, and employment cases. Is it a waste of time to try and make a move to big law with such few years of experience?

Does anyone have any resources (i.e. books, handbooks, etc.) to recommend for a first year in-house tech attorney? I’m currently reading the Tech Contracts Handbook by Tollen. I have found it very helpful. I review and negotiate vendor agreements for SaaS, consulting agreements, HR related engagements, and other services. Thank you!
