There are an endless of opportunities revolving around clinical research. I would personally start by networking on LinkedIn to be able to understand different roles within the industry. Simply because you are transitioning industries it does not mean you do not have any talent or experience to contribute. Maintaining a degree is typically required, however, it can also be something in relation to life sciences. For more advanced positions, a masters degree would highly be preferred. There any many avenues to pursue. You may decide to pursue a career with a sponsor, clinical research organization or even in clinical operations. Here a little map that may help visualize it better. Good luck to you!
When I was first hired for a clinical research position, I also had zero experience in clinical research and neither of my degrees (BS and MS) had a clinical research component. I’m now almost 8 yrs in the field and successfully completed a Master’s in Clinical Research in that time. Please send me your questions. I’d love to help.

Hi,
I have been in the field for over 2/3 years now. I am
starting a training academy for entry level CRA or any entry level clinical research role. Contact me at Omo.duro@yahoo.com so I can learn more about your background so we can go from there. Thank you.
