Hello all, is it good to take higher bands in HCL ,I have e2, thinking to ask for higher band, but what ppl say is if u get higher band u not get more opportunities in case u fall in bench, but getting higher bands gives more perks is what I also heard and read. Went from a big firm to work for a smaller firm. The people in the smaller firm are protective of their work and are good by their work too. I no longer feel chaos or stress. I am treated with respect and my schedule is more normal. I am even working more billable hours than before, but it feels like a seamless experience. I don’t work then past 5pm or anything out of the ordinary for this time of the year. I am so grateful!

I had a HR Discussion after clearing 2 HCL rounds and 2 client interviews . HR is not considering moving above 40% hike no matter whatever I say to justify, the Discussion was like talking to a wall . Any suggestions to get another 10-15% more (first offer)? Will HR reject me stating this reason in HCL ?? FYI- Client and the project team wants to take him in as per their feedback to me and I feel i am the right person for the role too .. 9 years exp -Infra storage domain .

I have given my interview in HCL and cleared 1 TP, 1 hcl manager & Client TP and Client Manager rounds .
In initial screening HR told the generic statement of 30-40% and I have given my ask as 50% minimum. After clearing the rounds I heard from the project team that Client has given great feedback and wanted to take me in .
What is the % I can ask in HR Discussion and will they reject in HR if I ask more now .
I have 9.5 years total experience and role is Storage Architect.
