I've just been rejected in the interview process for the 6th time this year at/just before the final round. I don't know what I am struggling with to improve my interview performance, and it is taking a toll on my mental health to go through 1 to 2 months worth of interviews, only to fall short and be told that I was the second best person for the job. Does anyone have any advice or experience they can share? I'm extremely frustrated with continually failing at the final rounds.

Hi, I have a 2 part question:

I did a “meet the team” interview 2 weeks ago and now the hiring manager set up a call on Tuesday. Is it safe to assume that’s a call to extend an offer?

If that’s a reasonable assumption, could I let another company (finished interviews last Friday) know ahead of time on Monday that I’m expecting an offer in the hopes of speeding up their decision making?

Are there any fundamental differences between a salary negotiation during the start (applying for the job) vs. Salary negotiation during a performance review (you’ve been employed for x time and looking for a raise). At most companies your CTC is decided based on which tier your college is classified under. Most of the times even with a really high experience and stellar performance you won’t be able to match CTCs of freshers from Tier 1 colleges.

How do you solve for similar work profiles for Tier 1 and 2 grads but lower pays for Tier 2 grads?
