For any of you real estate investors, what tools or sources did you learn from when getting started. Can’t find a mentor currently so want to find some highly recommended books or videos. If focused on the tri-state area (NY, NJ, Long Island mainly) that would be even better. My hope is to buy and rent out a apartment while also owning a house and house hacking that by renting part of it out. Trying to understand all the steps, traps, and how to find if it’s a good investment.

Consultant role in Deloitte USI (F&EP Team) Vs KPMG Global Services (IT Advisory- EPM Team)

Deloitte USI: 13L + 4L JB
KPMG KGS: 17L + 1L JB

YoE: 4.5
Tech Stack: EPM

Which one will be the better choice In terms of:
1. Bonus and Increments
2. WLB
3. Type of work (back-end/client-facing)
4. Professional growth
5. Any other relevant factors

Please share your experiences?

I applied to a job at KPMG and did the first two rounds of interviews, general interview, then case study and competency. Never before have I had such a positive feedback at the end of an interview of the 2nd, both said really like me, I did well etc.
It's now been 3 weeks since the interview and I still haven't heard back from the team other than the odd HR email saying they are following up with them. Is there something going on internally, I.e hiring freeze in the London office atm?

I’m thinking of a plan with a $250 deductible with 90% reimbursed with a 10k annual limit of total reimbursements. Thoughts/opinions on this?

How is everyone dealing with the overpriced car prices? Been in the market for a while searching for a car between leasing a car from a dealership and buying used from FB. I’m fine with either option, especially since it’s going to be my first car, but not for $6k above MSRP. Worst part is, dealers are sitting around and have got nasty at my sister and I when they’ve been trying to milk us.

Is this even legal? Any alternatives options are appreciated

We’ve gotten through the worst of the quarantine while supporting each other as best we could (very thankful for him). But his coping skills with stress (during covid) are lacking and as things progressed he’s just been taking it out on me more and more in the moment, then he feels awful for not treating me as well as I deserve (he treated me well before..)
