What are resources to become a better strategist?

Hello All, I’m a project manager but seeking to pivot into UX Research. I do have some experience but don’t have a portfolio yet. Can anyone advise if I should focus on going through a bootcamp or focus on getting a Masters in HCI? Or just building a portfolio with the experience I do have? There are very few entry-level roles and many places are only hiring “Sr UXR” with 3-5+ years of experience! Any tips on how to break into this field and/or stand out as a junior applicant?? Thanks!

Does anyone have any good (free) resources for construction detailing. I’m trying to move up in my career but struggling due to lack of mentorship//training (staff shortage, everyone is busy) I’m rarely taken on construction sites, and if I am It’s because I pushed for it. I’m a woman and often feel like people are rooting for me to fail or “man splaining.” I’m in the process of getting licensed - just having a hard time getting the actual experience I need to feel competent.

I have recently received an offer from HSBC for Data Engineer profile. The designation offered is Senior Analyst- Information Management. They said that it is a techno functional role. Does anyone have an idea about what techno functional role actually is in HSBC? Is it more like a Business Analyst? My prior experience is completely in Technical side. Will this role be suitable for me?

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" 3 years of experience as a corporate lawyer.
Expecting an offer from both Deloitte India and Capgemini.
Deloitte India - Senior Consultant
Capgemini - Associate Consultant

Capgemini has verbally promised me 9 LPA but the offer is yet to be released.
Deloitte India has not yet communicated any offer, neither verbal nor formal.

I am more inclined towards joining Deloitte India as it is a bigger position than Capgemini.

Do any of you ever get frustrated with how low-income folks are talked about on this app? Like some of the posts frustrate me so much when they insinuate that people from low income backgrounds are just lazy or not hardworking enough

Tips for how you’re accumulating wealth with absolutely no financial inheritance/intelligence from parents? I want to retire early but am late in the investments game. I have a Roth IRA invested in a target date fund, max out my HSA and invest in REITS and ETFS, and contribute more to 401k when I have leftover $$. What do you guys do? Am i missing any smart moves here?

My friends think I’m crazy because I’m willing to work all the time / give 110%, but they don’t understand that I need to do well so I can better provide for my family. I’m already making more in a week at 22 years old than my mom makes in a month, and she works way harder than I do. Just wanted to get this off my chest ha. I’m not resentful and I definitely understand the need for self care…but I’m willing to suffer in a high-paying job if it means I can provide for my family. Is this just me?🙂

How do people navigate saving and giving back home? I never know if I’m saving too much

Anyone get anxiety thinking about how you’re already funding your parents lives because they gave up everything and worked to the bone for you? I get the concept of giving back and wanting to take care of my parents but damn didn’t realize my life would be so financially tied to them even at 23. It’s like we moved to the US just so I can give them my paycheck.

Anyone help support their parents small business? I often work with them on the weekends and work my weekday job at KPMG. Feeling burnt out but can’t say no to my parents bc they need the help. Looking for any advice.

And no I do not ask for pay, I help the business to provide free work for my family to save them money.
