I am currently having 3 years of experience in BSW development. Is it bad to continue in the same domain for 2 more years? And is it a good to switch now considering the current job market in the automotive domain?
Can someone also tell me any companies currently hiring in this field??

PS: I am not fully aware of the job market now. Since many of my friends in other automotive companies, say they are facing layoffs. Can someone educate me on the current market too??

Hi all, I am a structural engineer looking to pivot to management consulting. I have a PhD in civil engineering and am a licensed PE. Currently I am not finding my profession fulfilling due to many barriers for progress. I have a strong statistics background and am looking to switch to a fast paced career in management consulting. Got laid off in tech corp dev making 250-300 all in. Have an offer to join a fairly new family office investment team in PE buyouts but will be a fairly significant cash pay cut vs what I was making in tech corp dev. I’ve always been interested in doing investing. All things being equal, is there better upside to take the fam office to do PE (at a pay cut for now), or go do another corp dev job? 6-7 YOE

Advice for studying for CISA? I’ve purchased the CRM, QAE, and Hemang Doshi’s book. So far I’m having trouble reading through the CRM because it’s so detailed that everything seems important and difficult to retain. I’m an incoming new hire so I think I should read the book even though I know people who have passed with only QAE (they were previous b4 interns)

In my current company I think the development portion I've been given is kinda simple, I've asked my manager and seniors to level up my work and stuff, *which they did* but I kinda caught up.. now what should I do, should I ask them to level up again or look for better opportunities

How many levels in Staff? What is the min YOE is required to be a Senior?
How many months/years minimum we need to spend to be eligible for promotion (ex: minimum 1 year a person need to spend on one grade like that)

The CW that I’d work the longest with (for about 3 years) had just being promoted to ECD on a big cool shop after very good run. Meanwhile I was just promoted to ACD at an OK medium shop after a very torturous run that almost made me quit ad life for good.

Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.
