This person was not prepared for the response they are getting. Don’t post asking for opinions if you were just seeking validation. It doesn’t matter that the cert wasn’t required for the job, but it definitely helped you get the job whether you believe it or not. That’s kinda how certifications work.

OP, this is not okay, and even independent of your poor integrity, bad news does not get better with time. EY will absolutely fire you for lying about a certification, and this isn’t some silly oversight on your part. You added a credential you don’t possess to your CV.

When I started at KPMG years ago I was asked to upload a copy of my AWS cert to a portal. I can’t imagine it would have gone over well if I didn’t actually have the cert. Maybe EY doesn’t require proof though.
I've just been asked to upload my PMP and AWS certifications by Accenture. So especially if relevant for the role they will ask eventually (my scheduler/talent specialist said it is needed for staffing on projects as some require certs)
Start cramming and schedule the exam as soon as possible.
Depends on the certification and how important it is to the job. In any case, I would let your recruiter know you mistakenly put the very on there assuming you would pass it.
Yea, they confirm the license number in success factor. They enter all your licenses in the system and learning admin team confirm them.
Did you also state you had it on your application? Wondering if you double down on your lie?
Just mention them XXX certification and you forgot about including (Training) at the end 😂
