Hello, i am a mechanical engineer graduate, i have done so many internships, workshop, projects throughout my time as a student, and i feel like none of those are useful now, i am looking new ways to improve/ learn skills that can hold some value and make me stand out. I am currently working mostly in Data Analytics, but I want to transition into Data Engineering. I've applied to a couple Data engineer positions but it seems I don't have the qualifications for them. Should I maybe look for Jr. Data Engineer positions to get experience and try to move up from there? If so anybody know of any Jr. Data Engineer positions available?

Just received 2 offers that I’m weighing, both in Advertising tech:
1. Smaller firm about to be acquired by a larger one, Product Marketing role (title would be Sr. PMM)
2. FAANG, Sales Account Manager role (similar to my current role)
I have 5-6 YOE and have been in an Account Management role for most of my career - is it worth making the switch to PMM at a smaller firm or sticking with what I know at a FAANG? Both would have relatively similar comp. Thanks in advance for your input!

Recently obtained my aPHR and I’m considering next steps in advancing my career. I am eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP presently and will not be able to sit for a PHR until 09/2023. Any pros/cons with either certification? Should I wait to sit for PHR or go for SHRM-CP now?

Is sap analyst a good career path and how does the demand look like currently?

I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I am extremely over qualified for the position but it could possibly be a stepping stone and gives me the time to acquire SHRM certifications and possibly start taking classes to get my MBA. My question is those currently in an HR role, would this move make sense to you?

Can someone from consulting background with ~4years of post masters work experience land tech jobs in US? More importantly, is it a good career move in terms of future compensation, work life balance, career advancement, etc.?

Why are town Hall meetings so impersonal? They are all about awards / the number of people hired. I know FCB health is large, but we never hear from people who aren’t Executives. Last town hall, when discussing inclusion efforts, there were no people of color represented and one of the 4 pillars of diversity was centered around our “reputation as an organization” (that really rubbed me the wrong way). At my last agency those conversations were always led by people of color from every level.

How many hours of meeting can you survive every day? Not the work sessions or status updates. I mean presentations with audience who are there only to challenge you.

Started at a big firm in July with high hopes- in the career path I wanted and I would be joining with other new grads.
After onboarding, it’s as if my team forgets about us every day. The training is non existent, there doesn’t seem to be any initiative to invest in new hires, my manager scolds me for not knowing enough yet gives no direction. I don’t want to waste time (colleagues mentioned it doesn’t get much better from here). Do I embrace the suck or look for other opportunities?
