Hello! I will be attending an unranked B-school in London this fall. I chose the school for a handful of reasons (family, time, program, budget) and even before I have determined that I want to become an MBB consultant post MBA.

I come from an EM country, 10 years in Financial Services from brand-name global firms. Undergrad - Foreign Service.

Realistically, what are my chances of getting into MBB as a consultant? Do I even have a shot at an associate consultant role?

I applied for a role a few days ago and found the relevant hiring manager today via LinkedIn. Should I send a follow up mail/introduce myself to this person. Would it leave a good impression or come across as desperate?

Btw, the person is in a “Talent Acquisition” position at the company.

Side hustle or startup ideas for someone who isn’t technical/doesn’t code? Where should I look or where to begin? I don’t have any strong passions or specific skills that I’m confident in. What books, articles, blogs, orgs, events, people I should follow for inspiration that has helped you? I have some cash to invest and am looking for a part time hustle that can cash flow at least a little bit of money on the side.
