Hello! My very close friend from a Muslim background is moving to Ohio soon. I’m helping them feel at home, so I’m wondering if you could recommend what they need to be absolutely prepped at for their move? (Halal grocery stores, restaurants etc those recommendations would be great too)

If moving to Cleveland, many Muslims live on the west side, and the big mosque is in Parma. If there are halal butchers and restaurants, they would be near there.

If he can’t find Halal, the Kosher butchers and restaurants are on the east side, in Beachwood, University Heights, and Cleveland Heights.

Thank you so much! I will pass this on and do a bit of research for that area :) appreciate your help

Muslims and others have been moving around for centuries. I think they will find local stores and restaurants on their own. I am not being sarcastic but I don’t think an Indian would take a white guy’s recommendation on authentic Indian restaurant 😂

You are an amazing person though. Lets stick to flowers and chocolates or some house warming gift that doesn’t include alcohol or pork or any non-halal meet. Fish is ok.

Cleveland has a large Arab community! He will be completely fine! Let him move West, like West Lake close to Crocker Park, so many middle easterns there. They call it West Bank. He will find lots of Lebanese, Palestinians, Jordanians and Egyptians!

Where in Ohio

Cleveland to be specific :)

That's really sweet of you. But I'd suggest just asking your friend what they might need or want help with.

She’s an anxious person. I think her going from the UK knowing where everything is to a place where it’s brand new. She was nervous about getting halal food mostly ☺️

Why would anyone move from the UK to the US? Unbelievable 😭

I’m not too sure about that in terms of salary I believe US is better (my opinion, she’s happy with her job offer)

My wife and I are currently sharing one vehicle and considering purchasing a 2nd car, most likely Tesla Model Y. Tesla lowered rates from 2.99% to 2.49% 72 months. Is that considered a good rate? Has anyone else went with another auto loan? Also thinking about buying a 2nd home. Would financing a car before buying a house have any major impacts? I have a credit score at 794.

I work in a firm that is known for litigation defense. I’ve been developing my own plaintiffs practice as well. I am able to pay the bills with my hourly defense work, which gives me time to focus on a handful of high value PI case a year on contingency. I was recently negotiating a case and was told part of the reason the claims rep/OC was jerking me around was because they didn’t see me as a plaintiffs attorney. Is there any way to change this perception or does it just come over time?

Any tips on the interview and interview process for anyone working in this position? I would be truly grateful for any help or information that can be provided!
